*HAVE GRIT**BE KIND**SHOW RESPECT*
We have Alexis's very first Report Card and we also had our very first Parent/Teacher conference. Alexis is doing very well. She is social, smart and a "leader" in her class. Because she is so social, she some times has a difficult time focusing on what she is doing. Because she is smart, her teacher is challenging her because she knows she's got it in her. Because she is a class leader, we talk about needing to lead by example and follow the rules of Mrs. Weidenhammer.
She has a good mix of 3's and 2's which is good.
Her 3's are from: (Demonstrates consistently)
-Follows school and classroom routines, Transitions easily from one activity to another, Completes work in a timely manner, Accepts guidance, Attends to personal needs and belongings, Uses school materials correctly, and Uses writing tools effectively.
Her 2's are in: (Demonstrates often)
-Understands and follows directions, Works well independently, Works well with others, Displays academic perseverance, Demonstrates respect, Actively listens, Communicates effectively, Displays self-control, and Resolves conflict peacefully.
Marking Period 1 Comments:
Strengths:
-following classroom routines independently
-reading and writing the sight words we've learned so far in isolation
Goals:
-remain focused on herself and the task at hand
-continue working on hearing and writing sounds in words
We are happy and super proud of her!
Now, something to make you smile!
Today, she lost her second front tooth! She can now sing, "all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth, my two front teeth!" (I think that makes tooth number five.)
