Alexis - 5 year check-up!

Can you believe it?

Our first born is 5 years old! Five going on 15! I joke, but time is flying by. Today I actually called to register her for Kindergarten!

She just had her 5 year check up, and she is doing great! She passed her eye and hearing test, and checked out perfectly!

She stands 3' 5.2" and in the 25%tile
She weighs 34 lbs 2.7 oz and in the 12%tile.

There are no concerns with her height or weight. The doctor told her she should be eating 5 colorful fruits and vegetables a day!

Here are the suggested Toys and Games for a 5 year old:
Board games - Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, Memory
Card games - Go Fish, Old Maid
Dominoes and blocks
Puppets
Dollhouse and dolls, dolls with clothes
Puzzles up to 50 pieces
Arts and crafts supplies
Books
Toys for active play - jump rope, ball for kickball, sidewalk chalk to play hopscotch

This is a really hard time of year with trick-or-treating and ALL the candy. We already trick-or-treated on the New Hope train in to Lahaska AND at Wegmans. Friday is their Halloween parade at school with a party afterwards and then Saturday is trick-or-treating in the neighborhood. Daddy ends up with having to take A LOT of candy in to work!  When they ask "what happened to my candy?" I tell them "Daddy ate it"! Reactions are priceless!

This is the first time I gave them Ring-pops. (its a lolly-pop they wear on their finger) It just might be the last!
