Here is what Alexis's teacher has to say about her strengths.
Physical - Alexis loves showing off her large motor skills. She is always hopping on one foot throughout our classroom. (Side note to this strength. I signed Alexis up for gymnastics camp this summer and I also signed her up for her first 1K kid race!)
Knowledge and Skills - Patterning is a concept that interests Alexis. She loves creating both ABAB and ABBA patterns.
Social Emotional - Alexis loves being the teacher's assistant and lending a helping hand. She is always willing to help friends in need too.
Communication, Language and Literacy - Alexis loves sitting and listening to stories. She is often observed sitting in the "Book Nook" and looking through a story on her own.
*One area Alexis needs some work - Social Emotional - Remind Alex to wait her turn while others are speaking. Give Alexis multi-step directions and help her follow through on all the the steps.
Here is what Avery's teacher has to say about her strengths.
Physical - Avery is able to stand on her tip-toes and walk on a straight line. She can also hold a variety of writing tools and uses them correctly.
Knowledge and Skills - Avery can identify and match all of her colors and basic shapes. She loves exploring the items in our science center and participating in our science experiments.
Social Emotional - Avery is able to independently put on her own coat and attempts to zip it up. She can also serve herself snack using the food handling gloves.
Communication, Language and Literacy - Avery has an age appropriate vocabulary and uses three to four word sentences when communicating with her peers and teachers. She loves to listen to several stories and read them on her own. (Personally, I feel her vocabulary is much better than described here, but I'm glad she is at least where she needs to be.)
*One area Avery needs some work - Knowledge and Skills - Have Avery sort items in to big, medium, and small groups and then sequence by size. Also, Social Emotional - Praise Avery on her success on the toilet and keep a sticker chart to show her success. (Sticker chart is on the wall!)
