Notice the progression! Her cry comes in a split second!
Think she has Avery's BIG eyes?
Her first bath!
Proof that she enjoys eating!
Right before a sneeze. Last week she started with a cold. Lots of sneezing and a pretty good cough.
Friday morning I took her to the doctor to have her checked out. I wasn't too comfortable with her cough and all the mucus in her throat. She had been sleeping all day and not eating like she had been. From the doctor's office we had to go directly to the ER.
They admitted her with RSV, (which is a virus in small babies - a cold for an adult or child above 2 years old) viral pneumonia and dehydration.
We had to spend two nights in Doylestown Hospital. They gave her fluids, monitored her oxygen level and a few breathing treatments. Thankfully she never had a fever. Because everything was viral, it didn't require any antibiotics. They just watched her and suctioned her often. She was there for the worst of it and I am very thankful to have the nurses right there by her side.
She was discharged on Sunday. It felt so good to come home to my girls and my bed. It was a scary few days but again, she was very well taken care of. Poor girl. Unfortunately we came home to everyone else not feeling well. Not what we need right now. Avery had yet, another cold. Alexis has a cold with a scratchy throat and Ben is starting to feel under the weather again too. Needless to say, we are confined to the house and have to keep anyone away who may be not feeling well.
Thankfully Ben stepped up and took care of running the household. We had a lot of help from my mom and Carolyn. So thank you to them for helping us out in the time of need.
Ariana is doing much better. She is coming home with Broncitis. She still has bad coughing spells which take her minutes to recover from but thankfully they aren't as often and the mucus is much better. We are still suctioning her but not as often. She is starting to eat better, longer and more often. I think things are looking up!
Here are just a few pictures of mom holding Ariana! Usually I'm the one behind the camera. You can see Ariana gets a lot of love and attention! ;)
