Both girls are doing excellent in school!
Here are some of The next developmental milestones, as age appropriate, each are working on:
Alexis -
Physical - Alexis will be encouraged to string beads and use lacing cards. Alexis' teachers will encourage her to jump rope and kick a soccer ball when we play outside.
Knowledge and skills - Alexis will continue to work on creating age appropriate drawings and recognizable objects. Alexis will focus on recalling things from memory through participation in Memory match games.
Social Emotional - We will encourage Alexis to clean up more independently and communicate with her peers when something is upsetting her. Alexis will work on following a certain set of rules when playing games and waiting her turn.
Communication, Language and Literacy - Alexis know that her name begins with the letter "A". We will continue to help Alexis identify more letters. Alexis' next goal will be to stay focused during Morning Meeting and while completing art projects.
Avery -
Physical - Avery will practice kicking and catching a small ball. She will also continue to work on walking up and down the stairs.
Knowledge and Skills - Avery will count to ten independently. She will work on her color recognition skills through the use of classroom manipulates.
Social Emotional - Avery sometimes has difficulties sharing favorite toys and books with friends. We will help her understand the concept of sharing through games, songs and role-play.
Communication, Language and Literacy - Avery has done a great job learning words through word repetition. We would like to hear her expand her vocabulary by expressing her wants and needs using words, as well as answering questions with more detail than a yes/no answer.
