Time is flying by! Check out our little cutie.
I haven't had her 9-month check up yet, but when I do I'll update you on stats. I know she's at least 15 pounds now because she's already had her first double ear infection.
She doesn't have any teeth yet, nor has she started crawling yet, but she finds ways to get around. She is sitting herself up, pulling herself up to her knees, waiving, clapping, hand-signing for "more" and she will do "so big"! She's babbling a lot! Sounds like she says Da-Da. She is playing a bit more by herself, loves puffs and still loves being held by Mommy!
Her mornings are the best! She still wakes up happy with BIG smiles on her face! She gets so excited and giggles! It's the best part of our day. We sure do love our little peanut!

My First "Mud Run"
Momma did it!
Alexis and I have had many conversations about races. She enjoys them so much. During one of those conversations I told her how happy I was for her that she participates, was glad she enjoyed doing the runs and that she has fun with them. I explained to her that I am not much of a runner but that it makes me happy to see her happy! She would tell me, "you can do it mommy," "you can do anything"! That's my girl!
SO...along with three other girls, we ran in the My First Mud Run at Lehigh University. So glad we did it. We ran it together and we had fun. Unfortunately one of the girls injured her ankle but she'll be ok.
I didn't get as muddy as I thought I would and I had to run more than I thought I could! We came home with a nice medal and t-shirt saying we finished!
Here is my "Aunt Carol" moment. 1111 was my bib number. Alexis's soccer number is 11 and her birthday is on the 11th. She inspired to me sign up and I ran it for her! I think it was meant to be!
Nancy, me, Heather and Jen
Here we are, all washed off with our medals.
Thanks to my girls for running this race with me and to Jen, I hope your ankle feels better real soon!

Alexis's soccer pics
Alexis is loving playing soccer. She's having fun and doing really well. She's not an aggressive player but definitely eager to make a goal! She is #11.
Very proud of her for trying something new and having fun!
