Ariana is two weeks old now! We had her first doctor appointment, I tried taking some cute pictures of her and we had a very lovely visit from our very special Great Aunt Carol!
Ariana now weighs 7.9 lbs which puts her in the 33%tile based on her weight-for age.
She is 1'9.26" and that puts her in the 92%tile based on her length-for-age.
Her head circumference is 14.02" and that puts her in the 65%tile based on her circumference-for-age.
Her next appointment will be her two month old check-up!
Here are some recent pics from the past week.
(one out of three is all I can hope for at this point!)
Avery enjoying a cookie.
This blanket was made by one of my mom's customers. It's very cute!
Ariana's first embroidered anything, came from Miss Heather!
Here we go, three out of three!
The first thing Aunt Carol got, was a BIG smile, from Ariana!
Happy two weeks!

Avery is 2 1/2 years old!
Today we had Avery's 30 month check up and she is doing great!
She is 3' fall and in the 56%tile based on her stature-for-age.
She weighs 26 lbs 10.8 oz and in the 26%tile based on her weight-for-age.
Her head circumference is 19.25" which puts her in the 70%tile based on her head circumference-for-age.
They give us a list of things that "your child will be learning next."
-Tells about own drawing or scribbling
-Colors
-Helps with dressing
-May play and share with others
-Uses toilet during the day
-Sings and dances
-Jumps forward
-Likes imaginary play
I would say she is well on her way to mastering a few of these things. She loves playing teacher with Alexis. She's doing very well learning her colors. She's an over-achiever when it comes to helping with dressing. You never know how you are going to find Avery. She loves taking off her clothes and diaper! I hope she shares nicely. This could go either way with her. She has started using the potty and does very well with telling us when her diaper is wet or dirty. She has started singing and dancing and loves having dance parties. Her favorite songs right now are: Roar - by Katie Perry, Shake it off - by Taylor Swift, and All about the base - by Megan ?. I'm pretty sure she can jump and again, she loves role playing/imaginary play with Alexis, playing teacher and with their babies.
We've got a smart cookie on our hands who also knows how to push our buttons! :)
Thanks for checking in!

Ariana - 1 week old today
What a fast seven days.
Avery has had a cold, Ben has the flu and Alexis, Ariana and I are trying to dodge a major illness here. Had a slight scare last night, thinking Ariana may have a fever but luckily she is a-ok! She's still perfect!!!
The home nurse came today and checked us both out. She is doing great. She's starting her gain back up to birth weight, weighing in at 7 lbs even today. She has till next Thursday to gain those 6 oz back to be at her original birth weight. That is what the doctor will like to see next Thursday at her first Doctor visit.
She still has her days and nights mixed up. She sleeps great during the day and not so great at night unless she's being held. As much as I love it, it's not the best for her or me.
I'll do my best to keep the pictures coming!

More Baby Ariana pics
Thursday hospital pictures.
Daddy brought Big Sisters, Alexis and Avery up to meet Ariana on Thursday. Although both were overjoyed and excited, Avery had started with a pretty bad cold.
Daddy changing his first diaper and Alexis wanted to watch.
Aunt Debbie left the girls some cool new Big sister gifts and Avery had a good time coloring on her new pillow-pet board. Thank you Aunt Debbie!
This was Friday as we were waiting to be discharged from the hospital.
All cozy and ready to go home!
Big Sister Alexis holding Ariana.
She's a pro! Just like that, Ariana is asleep.
Grand-dad and Grand-mom got to meet her on Sunday!
Grand-dad's first hold!

Arrival of Baby Ariana! (may be a bit graffic for some)
Welcome in to the world, Ariana!
She was born at 2:50pm on 12/31/14. 7.64 oz and 20.5 in long.
I have over 300 pictures from the day, so here are just a few.
After 2 or 3 pushes, she was out!
Here is Ben cutting the cord.
(A difference from when I had Avery,) they brought her right up to my chest; "skin-to-skin".
Here the cord is cut.
One reason we chose the date of 12/31 to be induced was because I wanted Dr. Lindberg to be the doctor delivering Ariana. I am very happy he granted my wish! I also had a wonderful nurse who knew just how important it was to me to "enjoy" this delivery and she was AWESOME! I am very thankful to Dr. Lindberg and Nurse Beth Ann.
Hospital foot-prints.
Daddy making his first phone call.
Our first family picture.
Just because I love this picture so much!
Another difference from when we had Avery is that they support "skin-to-skin" mother-baby contact for at least the first hour. Before they do anything to the baby. If you are choosing to breast feed, you can try it now! I loved this!
After that first hour (or however long you choose) they take her, clean her up and weigh and measure them.
Daddy's first hold! She's looking directly into his eyes!
We all had bets on how much she was going to weigh. We couldn't wait any longer so they brought the scale to us! At 7.64 oz, Ariana is the biggest of our three girls. (Alexis was 7.4 oz, Avery was 7.0 oz)
My mom's first hold!
Finally, Melody's first hold!
I am one blessed Mama!
