It's been a crazy week+ but we've tried to make the best of it.
Here are some pictures from the last week.
Last weekend we went to a small town carnival. Alexis loved the rides!
Avery playing with some of her birthday presents!
Just playing.
It's a horrible picture I know but this chair is a wicker chair for her babies and she thinks it for her!
Last Friday through Tuesday Avery had a high temp and simply didn't feel well. Still on antibiotics, I had to take her to the doctor twice to be seen. Ear infection seemed to be cleared up but there was more fluid in the right ear.
Alexis says she is a princess whenever she wears a dress. This day she said her and Avery were both princesses and special princesses because they were wearing necklaces!
The girls showing off their jewels.
Tuesday we had a lunch date with her best friend Ellie!
Playing with another birthday gift.
As soon as I got the girls home from school on Wednesday, Alexis asked for her paci and wanted to go to bed. About a half hour later, I found her to have the same high fever Avery just had. :(
Friday I took both girls back to the doctor. Alexis will probably have the same virus Avery had; four days of a high fever, followed by a rash. They call that Rosieola. Avery on the other hand has another ear infection. Here are my two poor girls having morning bottles.
Today (7/28) is actually day four for Alexis so I'm hoping today is the day that she turns a corner and starts feeling more like herself.
As far as Avery goes, two days of antibiotics in to her and she's starting to sleep a little bit better. Eight more days to go. We also decided to switch her to Almond milk (instead of the whole milk). It may be hard to tell if that helps her (with her other issues) until she's done the antibiotic but we'll give it a shot.

Avery's 1-year check-up
Tuesday, Avery had her 1-yr check-up. Here are a few of her stats.
Avery weighs 21 lbs 1 oz and is in the 66.79%ile based on weight for age.
She is 2' 5.5" tall and in the 60.48%ile based on length for age.
Her head is 18.27" around and in the 85.78%ile for head circumference for her age.
She now goes and lays with George instead of me making her sit with him for a picture!
Because she was scheduled to get the tubes put in her ears on Friday, she could not get her vaccines so we will go back next week for them.
SO...
this past Friday she had the tubes put in. I had her at the CHOP surgery center in Chalfont at 6:15 am. She was the first to have the surgery done and she did very well. It was a quick procedure but unfortunately when he went in to put the tubes in, he found Avery to have another double ear infection. She is now getting drops in both ears two times a day and another antibiotic for 10 days. Overall, she is doing very well.
This was Avery pre-surgery and on "goofy juice"!
After surgery.
Later that night.
Avery has found a new cozy spot to hang out.
She is our little monkey and climbing on everything!
